Doggers Return to Hardwood
The Dewey Bulldoggers will open their season up in the Sunflower state on Thursday night. The Doggers play Coffeyville to start the 2018-19 campaign.
The Doggers are looking for success after winning the conference and going 17-8 last season. Dewey returns three regular players to the lineup with Hayden Thornton, Colby Henley and Cayden Baughn. This trio gained a tremendous amount of success last year as sophomores and they are ready to lead the team as juniors.
Head coach Lance Knight is back for 10th season at the helm. Knight preaches a brand of hardnosed play that his team buys into very well. Knight even incentivizes certain hustle stats for his team.
The Dewey boys tipoff at 8 p.m. The Lady Doggers open the season Thursday as well. New head coach David Vann will make his debut. Tipoff at 6:30 p.m.
