Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball will play a top 25 battle in a midweek game against Oklahoma City University on Wednesday. The No. 13 Eagles were able to add the game against the fifth-ranked Stars after Manhattan Christian was forced to forfeit a midweek series due to a lack of players.

Oklahoma Wesleyan has been playing top-tier baseball of late having won four straight games and 20 of its last 22. OKWU starting pitching has been stellar which has left little opportunity for younger arms or relievers to log innings. Eagles head coach Kirk Kelley says these game will give those pitchers opportunities.

The pitching staff currently has a 4.08 earned run average. OKWU pitchers have tossed complete in 13 of 28 contests this season. First pitch from Oklahoma City slated for 2 p.m. The Eagles are 23-5 on the year.
