The Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s team took care of Bacone College in its final non-conference game, 98-62. The Eagles controlled the game from start to finish to defeat the Warriors for the second time this season.

Freshman Cameron Dashiell carried the scoring load early. This fancy finish propelled the Eagles offense. Dashiell had 10 of his 12 points in the first half. The Eagles 45-28 at halftime.

OKWU kept its lead at more than 20 after the early minutes of the second half. Janson Lietzke was a second half star as he finished with 14 points. The junior tallied double-figures for the first time in his career.

However, the afternoon truly belonged to Max Valentino. The freshman from Argyle, Texas dropped 20 points for the best game of his young career. This three-pointer capped off a spectacular performance.

The Eagles move to 4-2 on the season. OWKU next plays at home against Bethany on Wednesday for a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader.
