Today we will continue our look around the area ahead of what assuredly will be an unusual football season. Despite a crazy offseason there are currently no barriers that would impede fall high school athletics in Oklahoma.

At Oklahoma Union there is plenty of optimism as the Cougars prepare for the year with back-to-back playoff appearances to look back at. Third-year head coach Stephen Trammell has an accomplished senior class that is hoping to build on recent success and go out as one of the top classes in the school’s history. Trammell talks about the goals for the season.

The Cougars have the benefit of having a veteran signal-caller as Mason Seigel will begin his third year under center. Seigel accumulated nearly 2,000 total yards and scored 25 touchdowns in 2019. Trammell says he the type of kid that could play on Saturday’s.

OKU will hit the practice field for the first time on Monday just like the rest of the state. The Cougars open with a road game against Nowata on August 28.
