Fifth-Ranked Cougars Head to Chelsea for Conference Game

Oklahoma Union is set for another Northeast Valley Conference battle on Friday as it travels to Chelsea. The fifth-ranked Cougars are 4-0 in conference games on the season. OKU is trying to position itself favorably for the postseason over the next two weeks.

Including Friday the Cougars still have four conference games remaining—two of which are against No. 10 Nowata. OKU head coach Lee Ott says the familiarity between conference opponents make those game challenging.

The Cougars have shined on the defensive end this season. OKU has held 11 of its opponents under 40 points this season through 16 games. The previous matchup with Chelsea was a 71-40 win for the Cougars at home just before winter break.

A girls and boys doubleheader is set for 6:30 p.m. from Chelsea High School.
