Bittersweet was the most common word uttered about the end of the Great American Conference Tournament's run in Bartlesville this past week.

The tourney wrapped up for the final time at Bruin Fieldhouse on Sunday - with both the women's and men's No. 1 seeds taking home titles.

First off on the women’s side, Southwestern Oklahoma State rolled to victory over the Cinderella of the tournament, No. 7 Arkansas Tech. SWOSU won 87-66 to take home the title and win its 30th consecutive game entering the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Former Bartlesville High Lady Bruin Hailey Tucker also finished up playing at Bruin Fieldhouse, Tucker scored eight points in the finals. She talks about what it is like coming home to play in the college ranks.

On the men’s side, Southern Nazarene beat No. 2 Southeastern Oklahoma State 80-77. It was a seesaw battle, as the lead changed 27 times in the game. Southern Nazarene also needed a comeback to beat the No. 8 seed by three in overtime on Thursday.
