High School Basketball Begins Tuesday

 

High school basketball is tipping off across Northeast Oklahoma on Tuesday, as many local clubs play their first games of the season. Here is the schedule:

The Dewey Bulldoggers open up the 2017-2018 season with a home battle against a familiar foe in Sperry. 

Other games locally: Pawhuska begins at home against Wesleyan Christian. We will have the Husky and Mustang boys on the radio – an 8:00 PM tip off on 99.1 FM – KPGM.

Elsewhere: It will be a nice area matchup in Copan, as the Hornets host Caney Valley. Copan is one-and-oh after a blowout win over Shidler a couple weeks ago. The Hornets will be tested from here on out against bigger schools. Here is Copan head coach Kevin Foreman.

Other games on Tuesday: Oklahoma Union opens up at home against Ketchum. And Barnsdall will be at Shilder.

Nowata’s game that was scheduled for Tuesday evening at Hominy has been canceled, after Hominy’s football team made it far enough in the playoffs that they are not ready to play.
