High School Sports Whip Around 9/6

 

Back into the swing of regular season fall sports action, as many high schools across the area will restart softball and volleyball on Tuesday.

In softball: Bartlesville travels to Jenks for a Frontier Valley Conference and District matchup. BHS has a close loss, 3-0, to Jenks at home the last time the two teams played on August 22.

The Bruins are 3-2 in District play, which is good enough for third in the eight-team 6A District 3. Jenks is 13-2 on the season. A 5:30 first pitch from south of Tulsa.

Elsewhere on the softball diamond on Tuesday: Nowata heads to Wyandotte. Oklahoma Union will host Fairland. Copan goes to Bluejacket. Barnsdall is at Foyil. And Caney Valley travels to Afton.

On the volleyball court: Bartlesville heads to Glenpool. The Bruins are 5-8 on the season and had a four-match win-streak snapped at the hands of Jenks a week ago today.

Elsewhere in volleyball: Wesleyan Christian School is at Oologah. And Caney, KS hosts Fredonia and Coffeyville in a tri-add.
