Indians End Regular Season on a High Note

The Doenges Ford Indians ended their up and down regular season on a high note on Saturday evening at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

Bartlesville beat Okmulgee twice, 13-5 and 7-6, to end the year on a three-game winning streak.

The Indians will next play in the state legion tournament which begins on Thursday at Coweta High School.

Bartlesville took game one in a run-rule over the Twins, while game two was more exciting. The Indians trailed by one entering the bottom of the seventh when they scored two runs of a Brennan Longacre hit to win it.

Bartlesville stands just beneath .500 at 19-20-1 going into the postseason. The legion tournament is a six-team double-elimination tournament. The Indians will likely play Ardmore sometime on Thursday morning, as the legion coaches met yesterday to seed and build the tournament on Sunday.

When game times become official we will pass them along.

The sweep against Okmulgee on Saturday avenges two losses the Indians had to the Twins back on July 11.
