Ironmen Clinch Playoffs with 4th Straight Victory

 

The Nowata Ironmen have stormed into the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Nowata’s potent ground game propelled it to fourth straight victory as it beat Chouteau, 42-21 on Thursday. The Ironmen have beat each of their last three opponents by 20+ points.

Nowata racked 413 rushing yards on Thursday. The Ironmen have eclipsed 300 yards on the ground in three of their last four games. Nowata is averaging 324 yards per game in district play.

The schedule gets tough upcoming for the Ironmen. Nowata will take on Metro Christian on Friday, the two teams are each 4-0 in district play. The following week will see Nowata travel to Adair. Each of the next two opponents were state semifinalists last season.
