Jakob Hall Continues to Rise
First-year Bartlesville High head baseball coach Austin Jarvis is still holding tryouts this week at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.
A Bruin that is likely to be on the team is having a heck of a summer.
According to a tweet, sophomore Jakob Hall threw a complete game no-hitter in Wichita over the weekend. Hall plays for the Sandlot Baseball program out of Tulsa.
He threw the no-hitter against a team out of Arkansas during a tournament at Eck Stadium on campus at Wichita State.
Hall’s team won the 15-and-under Mid-America Tournament to wrap up the season.
As a freshman last year with BHS, Hall started seven games on the mound and went 3-1 with a 3.24 ERA. He also batted .366 at the plate.
We will have more from the Bruin baseball tryouts that continue at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium through Wednesday (9:00-11:30 AM).
