Oklahoma Union senior running back Trinton Kuehn made history this season. Kuehn became the first player in school to win district player of the year honors. The Cougars back shared the honors with Pawhuska’s Dalton Hurd. Kuehn shares his thoughts on the honor.

Kuehn scored 26 touchdowns this year and ran for over 1,500 yards. While OKU fell short in the first round of the Class A playoffs last week against Morrison, Kuehn still found his way into the end zone and tallied 85 yards on the ground.

The senior is the latest in a long line of talented OKU running backs. He is also a part of a senior class that went to the playoffs four years in a row. That had only happened one other time in school history. Cougars head coach Stephen Trammell says hard work made the difference in TK’s career.

Kuehn says college football is something he wants to pursue in the future.
