Lady Bruin Golf Headed Back to State

The Lady Bruin golf team gets to come back home to compete for a state championship next week.

Bartlesville High qualified for the 6A State Tournament on Tuesday during the East-Side Regionals. BHS shot a 341 as a team, that is good for third place. Bartlesville finished behind Bixby (318) and Jenks (323). It was ahead of state qualifiers in Broken Arrow (351) Union (355) and Owasso (374).

This is the second straight season that the Lady Bruins will go state, with this year's being particularly special, because state is at home.

6A State will take place at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville on May 2-3.

Individually Emma Shelley took second with a 73. Faith Hopkins finished with a 78. Both Hopkins and Shelly should be in the mix for the individual state title.
