Lady Bruin Softball Opens Up Tuesday

 

The Bartlesville High softball team is getting set to open up the season on Tuesday, as the state of Oklahoma is moving forward with athletics and activities.

The Lady Bruins have been practicing since July 15.

It was a disjointed offseason for BHS, as Kyle Minton’s club had all his players spread across 11 different teams this summer for offseason ball.

Minton said the majority still played on summer teams. Minton says he hopes the first three or four weeks of practice has helped solidify the group for the fall.

Next week will be a big one for Oklahoma high school athletics. Softball and volleyball will begin regular season play on Tuesday, with high school football practice starting on Monday.

Bartlesville softball begins the season at Enid on Tuesday, Aug. 11 before hosting Sand Springs for its home opener on Thursday, Aug. 13.
