Lady Bruin Volleyball Gains Confidence

The Bartlesville High volleyball team is off to a good start - which may be more important for this group than most.

The Lady Bruins got a thrilling five-set victory over Muskogee to begin their season on Tuesday evening at Bruin Fieldhouse. It is a younger group of volleyball players this season, under longtime head coach Tom Williams. Williams says that victories like on Tuesday, go a long ways toward building confidence in his group.

Bartlesville is starting only two seniors in 2018. The Lady Bruins start two freshman, a sophomore and a junior. Even Bartlesville’s seniors don’t have a ton of varsity experience. BHS will travel to Skiatook for match number two of the season on Thursday.

Also the Lady Bruin softball team, which is 2-0 after sweeping Enid on Tuesday, has another game on Thursday at Claremore.
