However, the Lady Bruins would find their defensive touch in the fourth quarter. BHS allowed only four points in the final eight minutes. A switch to a zone defense helped the cause. This bucket from Avery Allen extended Bartlesville’s lead late in the game.

Allen and Erin Shoemaker both had 17-points in the win. Bartlesville improves to 21-0 on the girl’s side. Lady Bruins have two regular season games remaining on the season.

On the guy’s side, Jenks blitzed Bartlesville from the opening tip. For the first time in three tries, the Trojans beat Bartlesville, 73-58.

Jenks led BHS by 11 at the end of the first quarter. The Bruins would get as close as three late in the second, but Jenks pushed its lead back to eight at halftime and Bartlesville would get no closer the rest of the way.

The Bruins have lost two straight. Bartlesville played without its leading scorer, Tayo Dina was sidelined with a pinky injury.
