Lady Eagles Preparing for Another Conference Tournament Run

The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s is down to its final two regular season games. With winter weather causing issues the Lady Eagles Wednesday contest at Tabor and Saturday home game against Bethany could be in jeopardy. Regardless of whether those games are played head coach Grace Hadley believes the team will finish the season at eighth place in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.

If this remains the case though the week the Lady Eagles would host the nine seed at home with the winner taking on Sterling College on the road in the quarterfinals. Last year, as the eight seed OKWU upset conference champion Kansas Wesleyan and made a run to the KCAC semifinals.

The men’s team will likely not play its final two games after a positive test has forced the team into a 10-day quarantine period. Head coach Donnie Bostwick says this should not affect the team going into the conference tournament.
