Local Cowboy Doing Great in NFR
A Green Country Rodeo star continues to rake in the dough at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
Tyler Milligan won round No. 7 in the tie-down roping competition.
The first place finished added $26,230.77 dollars to his total money won this week. Milligan was already rated as one of the top-15 cowboys in the world in tie-down roping in order to qualify for the NFR.
As we reported earlier this week, Milligan is a cowboy from the Okesa-Pawhuska area. Milligan's mother, Tamara Hill, is the owner and operator of Hill Dermatology in downtown Bartlesville.
With three rounds remaining in the event, Milligan has cashed in nearly $58,000. He is a major factor in the overall average as well, which could add more money at the end of the event.
The NFR wraps up on Saturday night after the 10th round.
