Local Golfers Shine in Junior PGA Tour Event

 

A couple of local golfers posted solid results over the weekend during the South Central PGA Junior Tour Walter Hopper Championship. The event was held at Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa.

In 16-18 age group, Nowata’s Maddox Bullen shot a score of 80 (+9), to finish in a tie for 13th overall. Bullen will be entering his junior year at Nowata High School this fall. He finished in top 10 in the 2019 2A State golf Tournament.

Bartlesville’s Tanner John took fourth in the 14-15 age group. John shot a 73 (+2) to finish just four shots off the lead. John has been competing on the junior tour for several years

In the girls 16-18 contest Taylor Price of Bartlesville finished in the top-tier. Price shot a 92 to take eighth place overall.
