Bartlesville High baseball tryouts will wrap up at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium on Wednesday morning, and acccording to the new BHS head coach, things have gone well.

Austin Jarvis, first-year Bruin head coach, has seen two days’ worth of workouts and said he was impressed with both the turnout and the talent of players out for the squad. Jarvis talks about tryouts thus far.

Jarvis said, up to this point, he has had about 40 guys try out. Over the summer Jarvis has gotten a chance to pretty much see every player that is returning to the Bruin program this next season.

He wants to hit the ground running with players that are not in other sports. Jarvis say he thinks next season could be a good one.

Jarvis will be in his first season with BHS this coming spring, after spending the ;ast season with Ada.

He replaces Spence Rigdon, who is now the athletic director at Bartlesville High.
