New Football Coach at Wesleyan Christian

Wesleyan Christian School had to scramble a bit to find a new football coach, but the Mustangs didn’t have to look far.

KWON Sports confirmed Thursday morning that former head coach G.B. Myles surprisingly stepped down at Wesleyan Christian just a couple of weeks ago, less than a month before fall camp begins for high schools in the state.

Myles had coached the Mustangs for just one season during 2016. However, Wesleyan Christian quickly tapped Curt Cloud to be the next skipper. Cloud actually started the football program at Wesleyan Christian more than a decade ago.

After some time away, he returned to Bartlesville to coach basketball and serve as the Athletic Director with the Mustangs this past year in 2016. Cloud runs down his background.

Cloud had spent some time coaching and teaching in Northwest Oklahoma prior to his return to WCS.

He will exclusively coach football in 2017.

Cloud will be the third head football coach in as many years at Wesleyan Christian.
