Offense Leads Way for Indians Early

Offense was the name of the game for the Doenges Ford Indians – as Bartlesville has started the season 3-1 thanks to an offensive explosion.

The Indians scored 40 runs over their first four games of the year and tallied 35 base hits, all against good American Legion competition in Three Rivers, Ardmore and Ada.

Last summer, Bartlesville didn’t surpass the 40-run mark until game no. 5, but that was against a young Ada A’s team. The Indians played the A’s in six straight games to begin the season a year ago.

Bartlesville is off until this weekend when it begins play in Branson, Missouri for its annual tournament trip. The Indians will play at Hollister High School to start that tournament on Thursday.
