Oklahoma Union football will be back in action this Friday after a bye last week. The Cougars are 2-1 after defeating Nowata and Caney Valley in the non-district. Now, the Cougars focus shifts back to a return to the playoffs in Class A District 6.

So far, the team’s only loss came in blowout fashion against Pawhuska. Cougars head coach Stephen Trammell says he sees similarities between the Huskies and this week’s opponent, Rejoice Christian.

OKU will play back-to-back road games starting with Rejoice Christian this week. The Cougars offenses has looked strong to this point averaging 33 points per contest. Trammell says he is happy with the performance of quarterback Mason Seigel and several other offensive playmakers.

OKU will head down Highway 169 to Owasso on Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
