It was a big weekend sports-wise for Oklahoma Wesleyan - here are the highlights:

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball split a pair of games on the road against Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas on Saturday.

The Lady Eagles lost to the Swedes 61-58. That is the second conference loss of the year for the Wesleyan women.

The No. 4 OKWU men blew out Bethany, winning 89-68. The Eagles used an 11-2 run in the first quarter to pull away from the Swedes and never look back.

Wesleyan men are still undefeated on the year. Both those squads continue their tough Kansas Colligate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday when they are at Tabor College.

The Lady Eagles soccer team had its season end after a great run in the National Christian College Athletic Association playoffs.

OKWU lost in the title game to Trinity Christian 9-8 in penalty kicks. The championship match took place in Florida on Saturday evening.

The match was tied at 2 after the end of regulation.

OKWU women’s soccer took part in the NCCAA tournament after getting left out of the NAIA soccer tournament last month.
