OKWU Baseball Battling Poor Weather

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball has fought the weather in the early parts of its season. The Eagles saw Monday’s game against Park University cancelled due to unplayable field conditions. Tuesday’s scheduled trip to Southwestern Christian was also postponed.

The Eagles have started off with mixed results in their first season under head coach Kirk Kelley. OKWU is 4-3 on the season. Kelley says the weather has created challenges for his team early on in the season.

The Eagles took two of three games against Sterling College last weekend in the opening series of Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play. OKWU is tentatively scheduled to play McPherson College in three-game conference series this weekend. However, Kelley says weather will put that series in question as well.
