OKWU Baseball Begins Final Regular Season Week
The Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball team is looking to keep its momentum going in the final week of the regular season. The fifth-ranked Eagles play their final midweek tune-up on Tuesday afternoon against Mid-America Christian, a team that handed them a 6-1 on February 13.
The Eagles will likely be headed back to the postseason and a strong finish would put them in prime position to host a regional for the second straight year. Undoubtedly, the backbone of this OKWU team has been the pitching staff. This year’s arm have posted a 2.43 ERA as a team. Eagles head coach Matt Parker has been particularly pleased with the starting rotation.
First pitch from the practice field on Silver Lake Road at 2:00 p.m. The Eagles will then wrap up the regular season with a three-game set against Ottawa starting on Friday.
OKWU is 44-5 on the season.
