OKWU Baseball Opens Season at Lyon College

 

Opening day for Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball is here. The Eagles are starting the run for another appearance in the NAIA National Tournament with a three-game series with Lyon College. It will be the debut for new head coach Kirk Kelley, who spent 17 seasons as the head coach at Lyon previously in his coaching career..

The Eagles have been hard at work on the practice field for several weeks. Kelley says it’s finally time to face some real competition.

OKWU is considered one of the top NAIA squads heading into the 2019 season. Several publications have them among the top-10 teams heading into the year.

First pitch for the Eagles season is set for 2 p.m. on Friday from Batesville, Arkansas.
