OKWU Baseball Sweeps Bethany College

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles baseball team completed a series sweep Saturday afternoon at Doenges Stadium against Bethany College by the scores of 5-3 and 8-0.

In the first game, OKWU took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth inning as they scored a run and scored two more runs in the bottom of the sixth.  The Eagles out hit the Swedes 10-3.  Three of those hits were homeruns by Chris Tapia, Hunter Henry, and Will Price.  Blake Randazzo got the win on the mound.  In seven innings of work, Randazzo gave up three runs on three hits and struck out four. 

The Eagles dominated the second game as they scored four runs in the bottom of the third, three runs in the fourth, and scored a run in the bottom of the fifth.  Carlos Aldana got the win on the mound.  In seven innings of work, Aldana gave up three hits and struck out six Bethany batters.  Trevor Achenbach went 3 for 4 with a triple and a RBI.

The Eagles are 26-5 overall and 6-3 in KCAC play.  OKWU will travel to Claremore on Tuesday to take on Rogers State University.
