The Eagles men’s and women’s basketball team’s will head north on Wednesday for the opening game of Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play as they take on McPherson.

After dropping their first game of the season to Avila last week the Eagles went 2-0 over the weekend at the Central Christian College Classic. Junior guard K.J. Malveau was in a shooting slump early in the season, but bounced back nicely averaging 17.5 points per game last weekend.

Malveau says he likes where the team is at on the eve of conference play.

The Lady Eagles boast a 5-0 record heading into the KCAC season and will look to keep their undefeated season going. OKWU will face its toughest test thus far with a 4-1 McPherson team.

Both games can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM. Women starting at 6 p.m. and the men’s game will follow at 8 p.m.
