OKWU went on the road to take on McPherson College. The #7 Eagles would knock off the undefeated Bulldogs 79-58. OKWU would take an 11-point halftime lead and would never look back. Taylen Miller lead the Eagles in scoring off the bench with 16 points.

McPherson would fight back in the second half bringing its deficit down to three but multiple Eagle’s three’s both from behind the arc and old-fashioned would put the game out of reach.

This is what Head Coach Donnie Bostwick had to say about his team's performance.

The Eagles improve to 6-1 on the year and 2-0 in conference play.

The Lady Eagles would have to get off the bus and play as bus difficulties forced a delay in the game where the Lady Eagles would come up short losing 59-48.

OKWU would jump out to a quick 15-2 lead but foul trouble and a slow second quarter would put the Lady Eagles in a 31-22 halftime hole. A hole OKWU was able to climb out of in the third quarter to enter the fourth with a one-point lead but could not hold on in the fourth.

Jessa Gilyard would record a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Lady Eagles fall to 2-4 on the season with a 1-1 conference record.

Both teams are in action again on Tuesday when OKWU host Bethany.
