Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s soccer will try for a spot in the NAIA National Championship game on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles take on Wayland Baptist out of Texas at 3:00 PM in the Final Four of the National Tournament in Delray Beach, Florida.

OKWU has not allowed a goal in their three victories in the event since a couple weeks ago. Head coach Jamie Petersen knows that his team has gotten the best out of its opponents being the No. 1 overall seed.

Wayland Baptist came out of nowhere to advance to the Final Four. The Pioneers were not one of the 16 National Seeds and had to win their regional on the road. Wayland is 16-5-2 on the season.

The Pioneers beat No. 12 Columbia, Missouri in the Elite Eight on Wednesday after a double-overtime shootout. Petersen previews the Final Four opponent.

The game opposite OKWU and Wayland is between Marymount, California and Missouri Valley. The winners will advance to the Championship match of NAIA Soccer.
