The No. 2 seed OKWU men will play host to seventh-seed Kansas Wesleyan in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference quarterfinals. The Eagles received a bye in the opening round of the tournament. KWU earned its first KCAC tournament win in 12 years with a 78-70 win over Avila on Monday.

OKWU has not played a game since February 13 due to COVID-19 related stoppage. Just one player was out and the rest of the team was able to get work in. Assistant coach Blake Zinck says the team should be in good shape.

The Eagles needed a last-second layup from Taylen Miller to beat the Coyotes 83-82 (game story here.) at home on January 27. OKWU also won 85-70 on the road in November.

Wesleyan is 6-0 in KCAC tournament home games over the last three seasons. The Eagles have won two of the last three conference tournaments. Coverage of Wednesday’s game will start at 6:40 p.m. and can be heard on KWON AM 1400—FM 93.3.
