OKWU Men's Soccer Hitting its Stride

The Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s soccer has hit a nice groove winning four straight matchups after a loss in the first match of the season. The Eagles also came in it at No. 3 in the most recent edition of the NAIA coach’s poll released this week.

OKWU Has rattled off three straight wins since last Saturday, including a blowout 5-1 win over Bethany in the conference opener. Five separate Eagles scored goals in the victory.

Alberto Picchi, who was the runner-up for the NAIA National Player of the Year award is the team’s leader with five goals on the season.

Midfielder Stefan Lukic, a native of Serbia has kept the offense moving as well with four goals and five assists in the opening stanza of the season.

The Eagles continue play in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference with a home match against Bethel on Friday at 7 p.m.
