A current Oklahoma Wesleyan pitcher is doing well at his summer posting, as many Eagles that have had good springs have turned around to have good starts to the summer.

Michael Anderson has been named the Valley League pitcher of the day twice during his two starts this month. Anderson is pitching for Winchester, the Valley League is a wood-bat summer league in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.

Anderson threw 5 2/3 innings and allowed 3 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 2, and struck out 10 in his most recent start this week. So far this summer he’s 2-0, 2.31 ERA, with 17 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings pitched.

Anderson was Oklahoma Wesleyan’s No. 1 starter this past season as a junior. He went 12-1 with a 3.39 ERA for the Eagles.
