OKWU Softball Still Winning

The Oklahoma Wesleyan softball team continues to play better down the stretch of the 2019 campaign.

The Lady Eagles had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday, but it was still a series split against St. Mary for the Wesleyan softball club, which has now won five its last seven games dating back to early April.

Errors probably cost OKWU a chance to extend the win streak to five on Saturday in game two of a double-header against St. Mary. It was a 6-4 Wesleyan loss.

Former Bartlesville High pitcher Abby Ely went 4.2 innings and gave up only one earned run on seven hits. St. Mary did score four unearned runs against Ely. OKWU had three errors in the game.

Oklahoma Wesleyan has only two regular season games left against York Nebraska at home on Wednesday.
