Several baseball players with area ties have found success in collegiate summer leagues over the last couple of months. One of which is Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Michael Anderson who was named an All-Star in the Valley Baseball League in Virginia. Anderson is playing for the Winchester Royals.

Anderson did not pitch in the all-star game but has put up numbers worthy of being selected. Anderson has a 4-1 record with 27 strikeouts over 29 innings thus far. The right-hander is likely to be the top option for OKWU when he returns to school for his senior season. Anderson went 12-1 with a 3.39 ERA in the 2019 season for the Eagles.
