OSSAA Holds Meeting on Monday

The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association will hold a virtual meeting with all of its institutions on Monday morning to talk about fall sports continuing in Oklahoma.

In an email sent out to administrators late last week, the OSSAA said it has no plans except to continue the fall seasons as normal as far as schedules are concerned.

It appears that the meeting on Monday will allow school districts to ask questions of the organization, and go over best practices for continuing fall activities, as well as talk about scenarios if schools were to shut down, how that might affect athletics.

Bartlesville High Athletic and Activities Director Thad Dilbeck talks about the fall season.

Bartlesville High has had volleyball, softball and cross country practicing for just under a week now. The Lady Bruin volleyball team had a scrimmage on Saturday.

Softball and volleyball will start out the season on Aug. 11, with football practice beginning on Aug. 10.
