Pawhuska Passes Road Test at Hominy to Stay Unbeaten

The Pawhuska Huskies kept their perfect season intact last night, as they defeated the Hominy Bucks, 46-12.

Hominy had the ball to start the game, but a fumble in the red zone gave the ball to Pawhuska. The Huskies took advantage by driving 94 yards and scoring on this 10 yard touchdown pass.

Drummond also found Waddle to convert the two-point conversion.

At the end of the first quarter, Pawhuska led 8-0, but the Husky offense would extend that lead midway through the second quarter.

Hominy got on the board just as the halftime buzzer sounded, trimming the lead to 16-6. It was all Pawhuska in the second half, though. The Huskies scored a touchdown on the opening possession of the third quarter and Drummond found Mason Gilkey late in the game to seal the victory.

Pawhuska plays host to Unions JV squad in a non-district game next Thursday before having a bye week and closing out the season with a home game against Pawnee. That game very well could decide the district championship.
