Pawhuska Readies for Warner

Only one day away from Pawhuska in the third round of the Class A football playoffs, as the No. 1 ranked Huskies will take the field on Friday for the first time since Nov. 6.

Warner visits Ormond Beach Stadium for the round of 16 matchup. The Huskies received a first round bye in Week 1, then had last week’s game canceled due to Hominy’s COVID-19 issues.

It will have been 21 days between games for Pawhuska, and head coach Matt Hennesy says his guys are ready to play again, but the practices have been productive during this down time in the schedule.

Warner will have gone 14 days without a game. The Eagles did not play last week because of their opponent’s virus issues, but they did get a shutout victory in week one of the postseason on Nov. 13.

Much more planned to preview that game on Friday. Pawhuska hosting Warner on 99.1 FM – KPGM and KPGMTV.com. A 7:00 kick.

There is one other team still alive in Osage County, as well. Woodland will travel to Gore. The Cougars out of Fairfax are 2-0 in the postseason after beating Fairland and Commerce in back-to-back weeks. That game also kicks at 7:00 on Friday evening.
