Sales Taxes Looking Better in Dewey

The Dewey City Council met briefly for its regular meeting on Monday evening.

The Council approved a request to re-zone a piece of land from Residential Agricultural to Commercial Highway. The Council also went over last month’s sales tax numbers, which saw a bit of an increase from the previous month.

The Council also approved Hays as the Chairman of the Dewey Economic Development Authority. Along the same line, it appointed Ashley Clark, Craig Epps, Chris Revard and Tommy Strate as Trustee’s for the Dewey Economic Development Authority. The Council said it would make those appointments official after a swearing-in ceremony and a passed resolution during its next meeting.

The Dewey City Council meets every first and third Monday of the month at Dewey City Hall.
