Cancellations are plaguing local sports, as most high school basketball teams will be off for about two weeks, at a very crucial time of the year.

Playoffs are coming up this weekend for Classes 2-4A. That means Dewey, Nowata, Oklahoma Union, Pawhuska, and Caney Valley will all have district play this weekend.

Bartlesville High is trying to get in a few more games before their Regionals. BHS has already had its game at Booker T. Washington called off for tomorrow. The Lady Bruins have not played in two weeks, while the Bruin guys will be just shy of two weeks off by the time they play again.

Bartlesville High Athletic and Activities Director Thad Dilbeck talks about the scheduling issues.

Bartlesville has already had some of that moving around. The basketball games against Bixby scheduled for last week have been moved to Thursday, while wrestling regionals will be this coming weekend, after being scheduled for  last weekend, too.

Both BHS basketball teams next scheduled to play at Bixby on Thursday night
