When a team gets a new head man fans are usually cautiously optimistic but use game one as their gauge to what they should expect for the upcoming years. This is what Bartlesville football fans were feeling Friday night with their Bruins.

That being said, the Harry Wright era of Bruin football got started on a good step as Bartlesville forced four turnovers against Claremore. Including a pick-six by sophomore Damien Niko.

BHS would go onto win 20-9 but the game never seemed in doubt despite being a two-score game.

Bartlesville is 1-0 and has beaten Claremore four out of the past five years to begin the season.

BHS travels to Sapulpa next week for its second game of the season.
