Throwback Night on Friday for BHS Hoops

Both Bartlesville High basketball teams are back in action for a special one on Friday, at home against Bishop Kelley.

This is the first repeat opponent in the Frontier Valley Conference. It is also Throwback Night – as the games will be played in the old Phillips Gymnasium.  Bartlesville split a pair of games at Bishop Kelley to begin the season back on Dec. 5. Both teams are coming into Friday's double-header off of a win.

The Lady Bruins and Bruins swept Sapulpa in a couple of good games on Tuesday.

The Bartlesville girls are 18-0, still undefeated and ranked at No. 2 in the state. The two closest games of the season for the Lady Bruins have been in their last two contests against Bixby and Sapulpa. The Lady Bruins beat the Lady Comets 53-30 during their first meeting.

On the guy’s side, the Bruins have won two of their last three – with both wins coming against ranked 6A opponents. The Bruin boys fell to Bishop Kelley 79-62 during their first meeting. Bartlesville head coach Clent Stewart says he likes how his club is playing now.

6:30 tip for the ladies with the boys to follow around 8:00. We will have both those games on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3. Streaming online at BartlesvilleRadio.com and to your mobile device on the Bartlesville Radio App.

You can also listen inside the gym on our portable FM Transmitter on FM 91.1.
