A Division II women’s basketball team with local ties is just two wins away from a national championship. Southwestern Oklahoma State won in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II tournament on Tuesday over St. Anselm, 72-61. Former Lady Bruin Hailey Tucker scored 18 points while tallying eight rebounds and five steals in the win.

The Lady Bulldogs have now won 33 consecutive ballgames. SWOSU is slated for the semifinals on Wednesday against Indiana University-Pennsylvania.

Tucker and the Bulldogs also won the Great American Conference tournament in Bartlesville to advance to the NCAA postseason earlier this month.
