Update on Former Lady Bruin Hoop Stars

Let’s take a look at a couple former Lady Bruin basketball players who have moved on to the next level.

Both Jena’ Williams and Chloe Martin are continuing their careers in the NCAA ranks.

Williams is in her first season with University of Texas Rio Grande Valley after transferring from Nevada a year ago. The Vaqueros have gotten off to an uneven start because of COVID-19. They have only played nine games thus far (4-5), but Williams has been their main point guard.

The sophomore has started eight of the nine UTRGV games, the Vaqueros are 4-5. She is the team leader with 39 assists Jena’ is averaging 6.7 points-per-game and is shooting 40-perecent from three-point range. She is also second on the team in minutes played, averaging just over 35 per game.

Martin is having success in limited action at Pittsburg State in the D-II ranks. Chloe has played in three games. She scored her first career point against Missouri Western in mid-December.
