WCS Boys Hoops Into Regionals

 

We had one local high school basketball game over the weekend, and it was a good result.

The Wesleyan Christian School boys will enter its Class B Regional undefeated in the postseason, as the Mustangs were crowned District champions on Saturday.

WCS topped Coyle in overtime, 59-49 to win its first round postseason pod.

WCS now advances to Regionals in Agra, the Mustangs will play Lomega in the first round on Thursday night at 8:00.

If the Mustangs can win that game, it would put them in the Area tournament regardless of their result on Saturday. More on WCS in the Class B Regionals later this week, the Mustangs are 17-3 on the year.

The Wesleyan Christian boys were the only lower-classification teams across the area to advance into the second weekend. The WCS girls, Copan boys and girls, and the Barnsdall boys and girls all bowed out of the postseason this past weekend.
