WCS Football Spring Begins

Spring football continues across Northeast Oklahoma – most clubs statewide are in their final week of action. Wesleyan Christian School started its practices yesterday, the Mustangs will go for a week before their offseason begins after Memorial Day.

Finding production to replace the six seniors who graduated off of last year’s eight win playoff team will be the main task for head coach Curt Cloud.

Kaden Fischer was one of the more prolific running backs in WCS history, he graduated earlier this month. Mason Jensen, a Bartlesville High transfer, may be able to help fill those shoes.

Cloud talks about Jensen’s outlook this fall.

Another big point of emphasis this spring will be on building depth on both the offensive and defensive line. Almost all the production on the line was lost to graduation and Cloud says building those positions back up will be paramount, staring this spring.

More on Wesleyan Christian School offseason football later on over the next few weeks
