WCS Hoops Gets Set For Regionals

Speaking of the playoffs, the Wesleyan Christian guys are our only team in the area advancing out of the A and B District play last weekend.

The Mustangs won two games in a row over Mason and Coyle to get into the Class B Regionals undefeated.

This is the second straight year that Wesleyan Christian won its first-two games in the postseason. Saturday’s game was a dramatic one, a come from behind win over Coyle in overtime, WCS prevailed 59-49. Head coach Kameron Nettleton talks about the contest.

Nettleton said Wesleyan Christian made 6-8 at the line in overtime to seal the win.

The Mustangs will take on Lomega in the first round of the Class B Regionals on Thursday night at 8:00 in Agra. Lomega beat WCS in the playoffs in this same round a year ago, 60-31 in late Feb. of 2020.
