WCS Readies for First Home Game

Two days away from week No. 2 of high school football, as most teams will be back in action on Friday night.

We will have our first high school game in the Bartlesville city limits this weekend.

Wesleyan Christian School will host Claremore Christian. The Mustangs lost a tough one at Webbers Falls this past Friday, 78-55. WCS ended up with only 11 available players on the night. The heat and humidity started to play a factor. Cramping and heat exhaustion let a 35-8 lead dwindle away.

Head coach Curt Cloud talks about the Week One loss.

Kael Siemers was a major highlight on the evening. He took the opening kickoff to the house for a touchdown and also had four touchdown receptions and a running score. This all accounted for more than 300 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns on the evening. Quarterback Tyrel Cloud was 16-25 for 365 yards and six touchdowns.

Claremore Christian will provide the Mustangs with a much different challenge on Friday night. Cloud talks about the upcoming contest.

Kickoff at 7:00 on Friday night from off Silver Lake in Bartlesville.
