Wesleyan Women's Soccer Falls - Men Win
The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s soccer team had their season come to an end on Saturday afternoon in the finals of their NAIA Regional.
OKWU fell to John Brown, 2-1 in the Siloam Springs Regional finale. OKWU got its one goal from Marjolen Nekesa at the 31-minute mark. John Brown would score its eventual game-winner 77-minutes in, and the Lady Eagles could never get the equalizer.
John Brown out-shot Wesleyan 17-15. Still a fantastic year for OKWU, they finish at 18-3, 11-0 in conference play.
On the men’s side, OKWU won the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship on Saturday afternoon over McPherson. Eagles won 3-0.
The men are now regular season and conference champions in the KCAC.
The NAIA Championship selection show will be is Monday at noon, where Wesleyan will find out who is headed to the Bartlesville Bracket, as it will host a regional pod in the national event within the next week.
